Doug Ruscitti has been coaching Girls Youth Softball in the Oviedo, Florida area for 20+ seasons. Starting back when his eldest daughter began playing Rec ball when she was 4 years old. He has a strong passion for the sport, a long tenure of success, and prides himself on teaching the girls to love the game and understand the correct mechanics of the game and the various positions. He believes in developing not only a good softball player, but developing a girl with character, humility, pride, ownership and good sportsmanship. Promoting child growth through the sport of softball. He believes in family and what the KFS model is about.

Multiple Tournament Championships over the seasons with the Oviedo Babe Ruth Blaze Travel Ball program

With his success in the Babe Ruth Rec, All Star and Blaze programs, Doug brought his knowledge to the KFS Organization, starting a KFS 10U travel ball team with his youngest daughter in the Fall of 2022. Working with KFS to promote their values and teachings (Internal Rotation, Barrel whip).

Fall 2022

This was the first season with his new KFS 10U team, so this was a building season, developing a team from scratch, with players new to travel ball and new to one another. Even through some difficult moments the team only grew stronger together.

Spring 2023
